Your questions

answered

How much do sessions cost? Individual therapy is charged at £50 per session. Couples therapy is charged at £85 per session.

What happens in the 20 minute free phone consultation? I offer a free 20 minute phone or video call to help you decide if therapy with me feels right. It’s not a treatment session, but a chance to ask questions, discuss your concerns, and learn more about how I work.

How long are sessions and how many will I need? Sessions are one hour long. Most people have one session a week, and where possible on the same day so that appointments are equally spaced and consistent. Your first full appointment will involve a discussion about what has brought you to therapy and the approximate number of sessions you may need depending on your goals for therapy.

How do I book an appointment for therapy? For new enquiries please click on any of the links on the website that invite you to book a free 20 minute consultation. Future appointments will be agreed when we meet and where necessary I will email a Google Meet link.

Do you offer online therapy sessions? Yes, individual therapy is available remotely via Google Meet. I do not offer remote couples therapy.

What if I cannot attend a scheduled session? Cancellations are charged at the full rate if notice of less than 48 hours is given or if the appointment is not attended. Appointments can be cancelled either by: Email: lettherapyhelp@gmail.com Text message: 07776 238 289 (include your name, date and time of the appointment you need to cancel)

What's the difference between counselling and Psychotherapy? You might have noticed both words used and wondered which is right for you. In simple terms, counselling often focusses on helping you manage specific challenges or transitions in life. Psychotherapy tends to explore things at a deeper level, looking at long-standing patterns, past experiences and how they shape the present. The right approach depends on what has brought you to therapy. Once we've had a chance to talk about what you're looking for, I'll tailor our work to meet your individual needs.

What qualifications and professional standards do you have? - Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. - CPCAB Integrative Humanistic Counselling with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher status (QTS) - BSc (Hons) Psychology
